    Description:

    My name is Ian Firth.

I was born in Huddersfield in 1958, and I have never moved away. I am a Yorkshireman through and through, and I am extremely proud of it.

My mother wrote some of her memoirs down and my family have pestered me to do the same. Well, here they are!

Here are just a few snippets.

"Shit! You have just broken my dream!"

"Get your coat, and get off home, you've made my day."

"Witchy Woman was playing when we walked in."

"I can feel my hands touching my chin, but I can't feel my chin touching my hands."

One of those books that's hard to put down, thinking you,ll read just another chapter, then just another, then another... it' had me in fits of laughter one minute then in tears the next with the mix of heartwarming and tragic stories of the accidents this ambulance man has attended. Real life events that many of us can relate to, told to us frankly and honestly from the authors experiences. I particularly enjoyed reading about the bonds formed between the two man crews and how they relied on each other and formed firm friendships. The book starts with the authors childhood years and we hear up to the point he became and ambulance man then we are treated to all the amazing stories. An interesting and lovely read, would highly recommend.
